What a way to start the day. This morning was my vasectomy consult. Everything went well. Filled out the usual paperwork. Had to pee in a cup. Talk about pressure. I didn't have to go. Anyway I succeeded. They made me watch a corny video with the worst acting you could imagine. The video covered what the procedure would entail. They also made me read a paper describing the procedure, then the doctor's assistant described the procedure, and the doctor himself described the procedure. After hearing it four times I could probably do it myself. To top off the consult the doctor examined me while his assistant watched. Talk about an uncomfortable situation.
The surgery is scheduled for Friday July 13th. I was prescribed an antibiotic to take the night before and Valium to take at the doctor's office. Jen will be my escort for the removal of my manhood because apparently it is illegal to operate a motor vehicle while high.
This will be a non-scalpel procedure which is less invasive and should hopefully keep the swelling and bruising down. I was warned however of the possibility of swelling to the size of a grapefruit due to excess blood . HOLY SHIT!! Now that will cause some slight discomfort. I will be resting for two days and back to normal in a week according to the doctor. That's all for now. Hope everything wasn't too graphic.

Oh yeah. I'll be home July 4 - 8th.
We should talk about whether there is any time in which we hang out a bit.
My dad said your balls shouldn't swell too much if you lay around and do nothing for the first 24 hours. Shouldn't be hard for you ;) Just kidding...thanks for helping out tonight...much appreciated after a very long day. I love you!!!
Hey, seriously, you have to take it easy after this "procedure" Rick thought he could do it all and ended up miserable. Ice and rest is the key. And don't be afraid to use the ice - even if you think you don't need it! Love ya, Aunt Nancy.
