Economy Sux

Well on Thursday my company let go another 20+ associates. Way to spread holiday cheer, right. This time my group was affected. We lost three good people and are now at 9 people down from 25 or so at our peak. Stating the obvious, it really sucks. Everyday you go into work wondering if today is your turn. Will you be sacrificed for the better good of the company. We are always given the same talk. This is happening everywhere in the industry. All companies are having layoffs. As if this is somehow supposed to make us feel like it is ok. We also always hear that there are no future layoffs planned for the future. Well I don't think anyone actually believes that anymore because we have now heard it half a dozen times. It really gets old and frankly I think everyone is tired of hearing it. As employees we are at the mercy of our superiors. We really have no options at this point other than to stick it out and hope you are not next on the list. Nobody is hiring at this point.
