Writer's Block

Looking at the date of my last post I see I have had a serious case of writer's block. No I haven't given up on blogging. I am still trying to make a serious attempt at keeping up with this. My blogging counterpart on the other hand has given up and reverted back to her Myspace page. I would like to bid her a fond farewell. In remembrance of Jen's short blogging tenure I will leave a link to her page that will never be updated again.

Not much has happened since the last posting. Jen and I went and saw the movie "Knocked Up" last weekend. We both thought it was really good. We laughed a good portion of the movie. Not recommended for young children.

Also, since the weather has been nice I have been spending some time working in the yard. Two weeks ago I removed the limbs from a tree too close to the front of the house. Last Friday I did the same to another tree too close the back of my house and the neighbor's house. Last Saturday my parents came down to visit and my dad helped take down the trunks of the trees with his chainsaw. Lately I have been digging out the tree stump in the front of the house. I know it would be easier to hire a stump remover. But I look at it as a good workout. The removal of these trees is also an attempt to beautify my yard. I will also be trimming the remaining trees to make them look better and get all the branches that hang down. In the spring, assuming the money is there, I will be redoing the landscape beds in front of the house and putting down topsoil and planting grass in the front yard. The removal of the tree in the front yard has opened up the front yard to some sunlight and now hopefully grass will grow instead of moss. The topsoil will be used to regrade the yard and cover up the roots of the big maple tree.
