This weekend was my in-laws annual Fourth of July Party. This was the first time all five of us left the house together for one of our monthly jaunts around Ohio (suspended due to numerous major events covered in previous blog posts). We stayed all weekend and had a really good time.
On Saturday Jen and I took Brendan to see his first movie in a theater. He was so excited and had great time. He did really well through most of the movie until the final twenty minutes when he became a little restless but managed to keep his cool. Brendan ate some popcorn and had a root beer for snacks. On the way back to Jen's parents homestead Brendan passed out from all the excitement or the late night on Friday.

During the party everyone went swimming. Both boys surprisingly had a great time. Aaron floated around in an inflatable ring identical to the red plastic cars we all grew up with and Brendan floated in a ring as well. Took the boys out of their rings and I was impressed at how much their confidence has grown. Brendan was willing to jump off the steps into daddy's arms and he was also willing to let me dunk him (as long as I got wet too). Aaron also amazed me when he willingly put his face in the water and blew bubbles. Everyone had a great time.

The food was plentiful and delicious as you can tell by Aaron's reaction to the crackers.

When we were not in the pool Brendan spent spent most of his time running around the yard and playing by a retaining wall.

Justin as expected was spoiled. Every person who saw him just had to hold him for awhile. Needless to say he got to sleep on a bunch of arms and he didn't mind the attention one bit.
